DuraTech Attic Insulation Shield 5" to 8"
The DuraTech Attic Insulation Shield is used when the pipe is going through a ceiling into an attic space to prevent anything from coming in contact with the Class A pipe. This prevents any debris or insulation from getting into the ceiling support box. The Attic Insulation Shield consists of two parts that are able to telescope to accommodate varying ceiling joists as well as a storm collar to prevent anything from getting inside the shield.
The Attic Shield will mount directly over a Ceiling Support Box or Firestop Radiation Shield. In the event the Attic Shield cannot be used, you can frame a chase around the pipe in the attic space.
