The pedestal model includes an ash drawer which makes cleaning out the stove easy and convenient. Simply remove the ash plug in the firebox and push the ashes into the ash drawer. Then simply pull the drawer out and dispose of the ashes without having to carefully shovel the ashes out of the stove into a bucket.
